Watch the video as Nancy discusses her cataract surgery

April 8, 2017 by James Lewis

Nancy tells Dr. Lewis about her cataract surgery, “I knew I was ready. The best thing I ever did! Best thing I ever did.”
“How long did it take to get your vision back?” Dr. Lewis asks.
“The next day!” says Nancy with joy and delight. “The next day. I did my distance eye first. I was very happy. Two weeks later I did my near eye. I don’t need reading glasses anymore. I don’t need glasses with the distance. I can see the speedometer, food on my plate. It’s a miracle. No down time. No drops. Best thing ever.”
Dr. Lewis is pleased by Nancy’s enthusiasm, “Fantastic, now tell me your big decision is finding the right sunglasses?
“It is. It is… I hate glasses because I haven’t worn them in years, but I need sunglasses because I’m going to Cancun.” Nancy said with a chuckle.
“What would you say to people who are thinking about cataract surgery?” asks Dr. Lewis
“I would say it’s not a big deal. The surgery takes about 5 minutes. There is no down time. Basically there is no drops. There is no pain. It’s the easiest thing. You’re back to full activities the next day.”
“Excellent excellent… well thank you very much for talking with us. Appreciate it and stay in touch and enjoy your trip.”
“Oh I will. Thanks so much, bye bye.” said Nancy
